Course Description
This three-module Diploma is designed to prepare trainees to be able to work safely, accurately, and efficiently in the field of electronics. This course will introduce students to basic electrical and electronic engineering principles, with hands-on experience to emphasise on areas such as control systems, electrical machines and electric power systems, electronic circuit analysis, as well as telecommunications.

Electrical engineers use mathematics and physics principles to design, develop, and assess electronic equipment and systems. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a range of technologies, including household appliances, the lighting and wiring systems of buildings, power transmission, telecommunications, and satellite communications. In addition, electric engineers earn some of the highest salaries in the field. If this sounds like the right job path for you, then this diploma will provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to take the first step into this industry with confidence.
Career progression:upon completion,a student may proceed to do Higher Diploma,bachelor`s degree,masters and even PHD in the same field or related field.

  • Technical Support Engineer
  • Service Engineer
  • Design/Research Engineer
  • Production Engineer

Entry requirement: KCSE C- (minus)

Duration: 6 months per module

Exam body: KNEC

Modules: 3 modules
